Manual Therapy for Mental Wellbeing
Manual Therapy for Mental Wellbeing in Banbury
Experience immediate, deep-seated relaxation and relief
At The 54 Clinic in Banbury, we specialise in a unique manual therapy approach designed to address the physical stress and tension that can arise from significant life events and emotional conditions.
Our aim is to provide immediate, deep-seated relaxation and relief from the bodily manifestations of emotional strain.
While our approach is not a “cure” for these conditions, it is a powerful method to help your body manage and release the physical symptoms associated with them. The immediate relaxation generated from this therapy can be a vital step on your journey toward mental and emotional well-being. Our practitioners use a secure and reliable technique, refined over years of practice, to help you feel more comfortable and centred.
But what is it? It draws on a range of manual therapy approaches including Osteopathy, Massage, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Bowen Technique, WelsBeing — each with its own way of helping the body release and relax. Hector has found that incorporating water pads (linked to the dive reflex) can be particularly effective, especially in more resistant conditions. All of these approaches aim to support the body into a “rest and digest” state, down-regulating the fight-or-flight response. Some methods work better than others depending on the individual — especially where conditions have not responded to conventional treatment. If that sounds like your situation, just ask.

Our compassionate and experienced team, led by Clinic Lead Hector Wells and Osteopath Carol Maria Caiado, focuses on releasing anatomical sites that hold stress from a range of conditions, including:
